iPhone 5 might be more expensive for old iPhone owners

The iPhone 5 might be something that is worth looking for especially with the rumors of a bigger screen estate as compared with any of its predecessor. In addition to that, it is said to be thinner as well especially when you are looking at the use of a new 19-pin connector which will replace the 30-pin connector found in all of the previous iOS devices.

With this being said and done, the problem will most probably be towards older iPhone devices, especially those that have accessories that require the 30-pin port. Some of the accessories that we are talking about include radio and speakers with the aforementioned ports, external battery charger or even rechargeable battery cases as well. This is because you won’t be able to use any of these accessories without getting an adapter which will convert the 30-pin port to the compatible 19-pin port instead.

However, some of the benefits that you will be getting from the smaller port is that it is expected to pave way to a lot more components. In fact, the next iPhone will also be thinner as compared with the iPhone 4 and 4S as well. All in all, if you are looking to get the next iPhone, then be prepared to fork some extra money.
