656 iPhone Developers to Follow on Twitter – Add Yourself Too!

twitterlogo.png Whether you use it or not, you’ve probably heard of Twitter – ostensibly a social networking tool where you let people know what you’re doing but, ultimately, far deeper than that (that description is like describing e-mail as “a way to send words to people”). There are lots of iPhone developers on Twitter and a couple of weeks ago, Tim Haines, a New Zealand based developer, started a Google spreadsheet “iPhone Developers on Twitter” to collect everyone together. So far 656 iPhone developers are listed!

Browse through the list of Twitterers (which includes the apps they’ve worked on) or fill out this form to add yourself to the list. There are a lot of big names on the list already. For example, you could follow David Barnard (the guy behind App Cubby), Dan Burcaw (Brightkite app) or Raven Zachary (founder of iPhoneDevCamp).

Lastly, we at MobileOrchard are big fans of Twitter too, and you can follow @MobileOrchard if you want to keep up with us another way. You can also follow me (Peter Cooper) personally at @peterc, as well as Dan Grigsby at @dcgrigsby.

  1. Turn on the Firehose!

We also created a ruby script to allow you to follow everyone on the list.

Haha, I was wondering how long it’d take for someone to do that. I considered it myself (I already have some scripts for similar things in a totally different niche) but thought it might be a bit overkill. I hope people find it useful though!

  3. Hi,

Fish Tycoon is a very simple puzzle game that you can play for hours, without getting bored. Launched in 20th November, 2008, the Fish Tycoon application is the iPhone version of the award winning virtual fish breeding game. The application has received several awards like “Best Simulation Game” from PDArcade, “Best Application for Play” from Handango, “Silver Award” from Game Tunnel etc. and is now considered to be one of the best of its kind.

With over 700 people in the list it’s already hard to use.

I found an interesting app and thought I would share it with anyone who might be interested. It is pretty sophisticated in that it uses electional astrology – which is a special area of astrology dealing with timing. It gives each day a rating and then a forecast based on planetary positions. Since I have studied this particular branch of astrology and know how sophisticated it is – I was surprised to find an app of this quality. It’s titled: 2009 Electional Astrology Planning Guide. You can check out the screen shots to get an idea of what it does. Just do a search in the app store with the word “astrology”
