The office is no place for an iPhone because previously it has been conquered by BlackBerry users, until recently that is. Now, iPhone users account to more than 45% of the smartphone users in offices while RIM’s BlackBerry conquers only 32%. On the previous year, iPhone users were behind BlackBerry users as it held 31.1% of the total smartphone users.

As for the Android, its market share amongst office staffs is doubled to more than 21% which also means that it now overtake the Symbian operating system by Nokia. The Windows Phone 7 is still nowhere to be found. This may be due to its newly launched nature and hasn’t fully mature and publicized as heavily as its competitors.

There are now 95% smartphone users in offices which is an increase of 10% from 85% during the previous year. In fact, 90% of these users also use their smartphones for working purposes making smartphones a tool that is important much like the computer.

With the release of the iPhone 4S and its millions of units sold, it is estimated that the iPhone will further conquer the market. When Apple decides to add in business features such as encryption, maybe that will boost its market share even further.
