This morning, Navigon released a pretty cool update for for their navigation app, the new features should keep the holiday travelers happy for a while.

Perhaps most important is the addition of Google Street View, furthermore users can look at a full screen 360° view to get a better understanding of their destination’s surrounding. What is really neat is that when you are getting closer to your destination then Google Street View automatically loads making it so much easier for you to make sure your destination is correct.

The update also includes performance enhancements and support for retina display on the latest iPad.

Beginning today, Tuesday until July 16, Navigon USA has been reduced to US $29.99 from $49.99, while the The regional versions drop to $19.99.

What do think are map developers trying to get as many new features out there before Apple releases their own Map App with iOS 6?
