Want to play God to some islanders? There’s an app for that.
Need to cast a voodoo spell? There’s an app for that.
Heck, there’s even a vibrating app for when "your neck is sore" and nothing would feel better than a vibrating cell phone.
So why in the world did it take so long to turn the iPhone into a gun? Well at long last… there’s an app for that.
We’ve tried it and we have a few thoughts…
I appreciate the fact that there are options for each gun app to be used lefty or righty.
As an iPhone app- it makes nice use of the accelerometer for reloading and firing and the touch screen to turn off the safety. The silencer uses the vibration- a nice touch.
It looks realistic (they made an interesting choice in only displaying the part of the gun that would line up with the iPhone’s screen and the sounds are impressively real.
Having grown up in a household where we were not allowed to have even toy guns (although I snuck a few over the years), if I were a kid I would be all over this app.
As it stands now, it falls into the "iPhone curiosity" app category and I really can’t recommend dropping $1.99 on it. Then again, it did make my wife shake her head and laugh and that is worth something.
