Every new device that Apple has thrown in the market managed to get a better number of sales as compared with the predecessor. The same could also be said with the new iPad as it has managed to reach record first weekend sales as compared with its predecessors. In fact, the number that Apple has managed to release was 3 million iPads sold around the world.

However, this isn’t much of a surprise because the hype about the new iPad has been going on for quite some time and the improvements that the company has made to it definitely make it a good upgrade for any iPad users. In addition to that, more countries have managed to get the first release of the new iPad and with this being said and done, it would definitely contribute to higher sales as well when accumulated together.

The new iPad will also be made available to another 25 countries sometime this week. This release can be considered faster than its predecessors and this may be due to the sufficient supply of the device as well. While the original iPad managed to get 300,000 sales during the first day, it has yet to be seen whether Apple will give out the figure for the third-generation iPad as well.
