For those that have been living for quite some time, the game Pong might be still fresh in their mind. In fact, Pong was one of the most famous games of all times. It works rather simple as you’ll have two paddles and a ball. The game is a classic but it was one of the best in its time. However, as time passes, it gets kind of old and that is why Atari is planning to revive it with an Indie Developer Challenge for iOS devices.

There were around 90 different submissions although the number is now reduced to a mere 15. These are all games that are meant to be played with the iOS devices and some of the changes made includes adding a few multitouch gestures or using a circular court. However, it is expected that the other 15 made even better changes to revive the few decades’ old game. Some of the nominated developer studios include Pegpeg, zGames, WorldHiveBrain, Spantom Games and a few others.

Winner of this competition will get $50,000 including a contract with Atari. With this being said and done, the stakes are high and the winner will definitely get something good in return. The finalist will be announced in June 19 with the winner announced on August 2.
