Rumor: iPhone 5 to be announced on October 4th

According to All Things D, Apple is planning to show-off the iPhone 5 on October 4th with the phone being available a few weeks after. This date makes sense considering a media event is scheduled for that day.
In addition to the iPhone 5 people are interested in seeing how new Apple CEO, Tim Cook, does with his first big media event as the head honcho. Folks are also speculating whether or not Mr. Jobs will make an appearance, which I seriously doubt.
I wish the iPhone 5 would come out already so we can start speculating on the iPhone 6!
