Ah yes, WWDC is getting closer and closer and the rumors are becoming increasingly frequent.

Here’s a quick look at what we saw throughout the blogosphere yesterday… be prepared, it is a rollercoaster…

We have no inside information whatsoever but let us consider a few things…

The Palm Pre is coming out and looks VERY nice.

RIM beat Apple in the US smartphone market last quarter.

Android device are prepared to make a huge splash with multiple device.

Oh, and take a look at the advertisement for WWDC. Is there any particular device being offered up as THE image for the conference?

So WILL there be a new iPhone? It is anyone’s guess. I have no doubt Steve Job’s would like to be the one to introduce it and he WON’T be there. Then again, I’m not sure his ego will trump the very real, and growing, pressures on Apple to keep the iPhone at the top of the heap.
