Soundwave has become one of the Editor’s Choice last week in the App Store during the Friday and we are talking about an application supported by Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, it helping us to discover the music which the world around us listen.

On a virtual map anyone can draw a circle using their thumb, and the application will check the database to see how many people in that location use the application and tells us the music they listen. Since everything is based on usage, choice of bigger locations will ensure the discovery of relevant results.

With Soundwave, you can instantly and easily share what you are listening to on your phone and see what your friends, family and favorites (musicians, athletes, celebs) are listening to on theirs. Inspire yourself by plugging into your music world to see what’s playing. Soundwave finally takes the mystery out of music discovery.

Soundwave needs location services to function properly and allow you to share the track names including on Facebook and Twitter, so that everyone will know exactly what we hear. The application is available for free in the App Store in a format compatible only with iPhones/iPod Touch.
