Instead of the cheaper version of iPhone 5C could follow the example of iPad Mini, providing hardware configuration based on older generation and on a less sophisticated screen, possibly with reduced resolution.

Judging by the appearance of the white plastic cover that should equip the behind of the new cheap iPhone package shown between the two elements, however, seems to be a link. Unfortunately without more information from official sources, the picture above should be treated with a large dose of skepticism, especially because the layout does not seem to match the visual style now used for packaging and presentation of Apple iPhone series.
