Third-party mod allows for wireless iPhone charging

Previously, Apple had filed for an inductive charging patent and it was recently granted a well. The concept is rather interesting and works pretty much like the Blackstone charger found in the Palm Pre. Nevertheless, it is still on the works and chances are is that you won’t be finding it on the next generation iPhone anytime soon. However, you might want to take a look at a mod done by Tanveer Islam through the use of a Powermat.

Instead of using a jacket like what current Powermat users need to do to charge their iPhone, Tanveer had embedded the technology inside the iPhone itself. This means that the iPhone had to be disassembled before it can make use of the wireless charging.

In other news, the new iPad will finally be reaching the Chinese shores soon. The date for the sales of the iPad is on 27th July 2012 which isn’t very far away. Hopefully, there will be enough iPad in stocks because the last thing they want is the chaotic release of the iPhone 4S to be relived once again. At $580 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi version, it is also quite expensive as compared with other countries.
