Update – Kindle For iPhone

The Kindle for iPhone app was a nice surprise when it was first released. Sure, the app was a bit anemic compared to eReader or Stanza but it kept books in sync across devices and let you access your Kindle purchases.
Now the first update has arrived and it is a big improvement. The update let’s you read in landscape or portrait, let’s you change the text and background colors and gives you options for turning pages. It is a nice update and the app is free. (and it is just in time since my mother-in-law is stealing my Kindle for her upcoming safari.)
Is the app up to Stanza’s standards? Not yet but it is a big step toward it.
