Connecting to Xbox Live through your HTC phone

It is very simple to use the internet on your HTC Phone for Xbox Live on your Xbox 360, but you will need a few things.

What do you need?

– Xbox 360 Console  (of course, connecting an HTC phone to an Xbox without an Xbox could be tricky).

– Laptop or PC (Preferably with wireless so your can connect to the WiFi hotspot you make on the HTC device).

–  Cat5e/6 Ethernet Cable.

– HTC Android Phone (of course, connecting an HTC phone to an Xbox without an HTC phone could be tricky).

Setting up Xbox Live Connection with a HTC phone

Once you have all of these items we can begin setting up the connection for your Xbox Live. Make sure your phone has full battery, your wifi is properly configured and everything is on place. Of course be sure your TV is on, too!

Step 1. Plugin the Ethernet Cable from your PC to your Xbox, this will create a network between your PC and your Xbox allowing them to both send and receive data to each other.

Step 2. Enable the WiFi hotspot on your HTC phone and connect to it from your Laptop or PC.

Step 3. For this step you must open up your network connections, to do this go into your Control Panel, then click on View Network Statuses and Tasks, and then click on Change Adapter Settings on your left.

Step 4. Right click on your wireless adapter and click on properties, click on the Sharing Tab and then tick the box that says “Allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection”.

This allows the connection to be shared with the Xbox 360 console.

That’s it, you should now be able to test your Xbox Live connection and connect to Xbox Live without any problems.
