We’ve Only Just Begun To See The crApp In The App Store

This is not good…

It is bad enough that each individual eBook appears in the App Store as a separate iPhone App. (This stupidity has already yielded 21 pages of books in the App Store and the number is growing rapidly.)

Add to that (App Store polluter #1) ZATZ Publishing’s "DaysTo…" series of crApp (which stands at 37 and counting)

…and you have tons of garbage to sort through when trying to find the latest apps that are actually worthwhile and useful…

(I keep waiting for ZATZ to issue "DaysTo Tomorrow…")

But now this…

Yes, two restaurants have now issued their own "apps".

It is a nice convenience if you happen to frequent either of them but think about it… there are about 100 restaurants within a short drive of my house. If I am willing to drive into Manhattan that number balloons into the thousands. If every restaurant issues its own app… Get the point?

While I don’t want Appl playing policeman with regard to App Store apps any more than they already do, I really hope they do SOMETHING. This is getting rediculous!

Maybe ZATZ wants to get in on this one early…
