What (SHOULD NOT!!!!) Be On/With iPhone : The Stock USB Power Adapter Gets Recalled

(This is off focus but important.)

You know the usb adapter that shipped with the iPhone 3G?

The one where you looked at it, and then the one you got with your IPhone "Classic", and thought,

"Man did Apple go cheap here to save a few cents!"

Well, that small, cheap-looking adapter was apparently smaller and cheaper than anyone knew. But it won’t be saving Apple any money now.

It seems that

"under certain conditions the new ultracompact Apple USB power adapter’s metal prongs can break off and remain in a power outlet, creating a risk of electric shock."

That’s right…  it’s recall time folks.

Today Apple introduced the "Apple Ultracompact USB Power Adapter Exchange Program"

If you are in the USA, Japan, Canada, Mexico or one of several Latin American nations you need to bring your BAAAAD adapter in and exchange it for "a new, redesigned" GOOOOD adapter.

Of course it is free of charge and in all seriousness, this is never a joke. If you have one, exchange it.
