What’s not available on the iPhone 4S

There were rumors, lots of them about the iPhone 4S and after the launch all of these rumors were left unfounded. For a lot of people, Apple did not release another great product but rather a small improvement to a good product. Here are a few things that wasn’t implemented in iPhone 4S.

Near field communications – We were actually looking to a day where the iPhone would allow itself to interact with other devices through near field communication (NFC). It would definitely put the iPhone at a far superior level and give itself leverage against its competitors.

4G connectivity – May it be LTE or the HSPA+, none of them were made available on the iPhone 4S. Instead, we were greeted by a 14.4 Mbps HSUPA connection which is less than the 21Mbps speed that was released by China Telecom.

Better display – The Retina display was spectacular enough but somehow it is still a tad smaller as compared with phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC HD7.

Nonetheless, we may find that the new iPhone 4S will sell regardless of these features not being implemented. The fan base Apple has created is just too big for them to lose out.
