A post over on Gizmodo  described as discussion on the upcoming Palm Pre. the Post noted —

I was thinking about the line and really couldn’t help but think that it’s just dead wrong. I use my iPhone as both a work and an entertainment device. I’m one of those people who actually enjoys using it to watch a video and I have a number of games, podcasts, and music on it at any given time as well. And yet, while I always opt for the largest capacity available I rarely find that I need all of that space.

It wasn’t long ago that Mike took a new look at Air Mouse and offer comparison with iTap. He concluded that both applications were quite good and that either would serve its purpose well. The other day I saw that Air Mouse had been updated to version 1.5 and it seemed as good a time as any to take a fresh look myself. All I can say is — "What a difference an update makes!". The application was good before but it’s fantastic now.

Pro RSS Reader (and by extension, its free lite version) holds the distinction of being the one feed reader app available in the App Store to have the most straightforward name for an app of its kind and wear the widely used orange RSS icon at the same time. In its roster of features are full text and image caching, the ability to categorize feeds into folders, item archiving, email support, image exporting to photo roll, and over-the-air OPML file and Google Reader import. The overall look of the app, characterized by minimal yet effective use of color gradients, is something I’m particularly fond of. And what makes it even more special for me is the fact that I recently became a part of its development, albeit a very small one.

Astraware Is really a role when it comes to iPod and iPod Touch games. We have promo codes available in the Developer’s Corner for five of their other games (last chance to enter since we’ll be giving them away by 4pm est) and their latest, Hellfire is, in my opinion, their best yet!

Hellfire  takes one of my favorite early iPhone games, Chopper up about 25 notches.

The game concept is the same — fly your helicopter, attack the enemy, pick up hostages once they are released, and bring said hostages back to safety. But while the concept is the same, the gameplay is entirely different.

The graphics are incredibly rich. The sound is good and truly adds to the game. The control of the helicopter is smooth — you can increase or decrease altitude, speed, and more. It makes superb use of both accelerometer and the touchscreen controls.

Best yet, the gameplay itself is incredibly detailed. You have your choice of munitions and a varied quantity of each. You can choose whether or not you’re playing as a United States or Soviet helicopter. And there are 16 different missions to complete. I also love the fact that when you come back to the game after a hiatus it picks up at the same level.

I have been playing the game since I first got it yesterday and I’m really enjoying.
