What marketing!  "A lifetime to master", "simple but addictive", "less than 30 seconds to play", currently # 8 on the free apps list?  We just had to check it out.

Well, it’s free and worth every penny I spent.

The idea of the game is that a dot appears on the screen and you need to ‘whack’ it before it moves.  Get all 20 before the timer hits 30 seconds and the game is over.

That’s it!

That’s the game!

On a certain level, it’s a minimalists version of Whack A Mole.  But what it’s lacking is the interaction–the sound effects–something other than a big dot.  There’s no cute critters, or anything compelling to make you want to play the game.

So while a comparision to Whack A Mole is inevitable, I say a better comparision is the game I play with my kids–the "Quiet Game", where we see who can be quiet the longest.  It’s a game of futility.  A game of frustration.  And a game that doesn’t serve a purpose.

Quick Take
Value: None
Would I Buy Again:  Only if held at gun point.
Learning Curve: None
Who Is It For: I’m not really sure
What I Like: I didn’t waste too much time reviewing this.
What I Don’t:  The sound effects were poor at best, the replay value is practically none, graphics? Does a circle count as graphics?

Final Statement:  Even free, this game isn’t worth it.
