The fast food chains continue their eventual conquest of the App Store.  Chipotle joins the ranks of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and many others by having an ordering app in the App Store.  This is useful when you have that burrito craving while on the go.

I enjoy Chipotle and it’s certainly among my favorite Mexican fast food restaurants.  I am lucky enough to live in an area where I have easy access to several of them.  The app even maps the nearest Chipotle to your current location (or whatever location you input).  As with other apps, you can choose the toppings on your burrito (or whatever topping-friendly food you pick).  Unlike other apps, this one even lets you know the prices of whatever foods you’re ordering (and will even accept credit cards).

The app’s "About" section is a long-winded commercial for Chipotle that doesn’t really tell you who developed the app.  I guess that’s to be expected.  I happen to know that Chipotle has a secret menu.  A nice extra that is currently unavailable would be the opportunity to order items from that menu.  On the other hand, then the secret menu wouldn’t be that big of a secret.

The app is pretty straightfoward and easy to use.  It’s also very pretty and has lots of food porn pictures so there is no confusing which food of theirs is which.  It’s not quite as much fun as the Pizza Hut app (which even threw in a game), but it certainly gets the job done.

Pros: Nice interface.  Good design.

Cons: Not much in the way of extras.  No secret menu.
