I last reviewed the original Clear Vision here, and the sequel does not quite seem at all that exciting.

Following the same ‘stick-man’ animation format, Clear Vision 2 revolves around the same contract killer for hire featured in the original game. There is an attempt at depth for this sequel, in the form of the protagonist’s (can we still call a serial murderer a hero?) wife being kidnapped and the entire storyline dedicated towards her rescue. Along the way the hero will pick up additional missions every now and then, which pretty much all revolve around assassinating  a given target. The attempt at placing greater emphasis on content can be seen through supposedly interactive cut scenes where players can make choices with regards to the current situation, but these in reality have little effect on the final outcome of the game.

Gameplay itself is a chore too. Aiming remains a real pain, especially when moving targets are involved. Add in some exaggerated blood spilling across the game and you have the recipe for what appears to me to be trying way too hard. And given how each stage is virtually identical to the last, where players just have to shoot a specified target, Clear Vision 2 bores very quickly.

Just like the original, this was not worth my one dollar.

Quick Take

Value:Low

Would I Buy Again:No

Learning Curve:Moderate. Game concept is simple but actual gameplay is a real headache.

Who Is It For:Sniper fans

What I Like:Things are kept relatively simple

What I Don't Like:Lack of depth in content

Final Statement:For that same dollar, many better shooting games are available for your buck
