User Rating:The irony of paying for an app to browse free advertisement listings from the Internet has not escaped me. There is also a free version available with ads of its own. More irony.
Before one begins to use this app, the first thing one should do is limit the area of search. From the Cities button at the bottom, you can choose the areas to search. After which, you can go to the Options tab to filter for certain conditions (sale price, rental rate, job category, etc.).
As with Craiglist itself, you can also browse categories such as Jobs, For Sale, Personals and a myriad of others. The Personals section alone is what gives this app the adult age rating.
Design of the app is somewhat awkward. I would have placed the Options button somewhere else and had the Search and Browse buttons together. It seems counter-intuitive in its current design. However, it’s pretty easy to use once you figure it out.
When searching, the app is designed well. For sales, prices are listed in the top right corner in a bright red box. The associated graphics for any sale item are also large and easy to see.
The app does take some getting used to and in some aspects is superior to browsing Craigslist itself. Is it worth the $.99? That depends how much you can tolerate non-Craigslist advertisements. If you can tolerate such things, it’s likely best to get the free version.
Pros: Lots of add-on capabilities to browsing Craiglist.
Cons: Layout seems a bit off. Difficult to adjust to use.
