From the makers of Wild West Pinball comes The Deep Pinball. 

At first, I thought this was a pinball game based on the movie The Deep, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.  In case of confusion, Gameprom should prepare their defense lawyers.

When the game launches, the user is treated to an audio introduction explaining the premise of the game by a woman with a Russian accent.  She’s the submarine’s computer. 

As with its predecessor, the 3D graphics and motion are excellent.  The layout of the machine is also very well thought-out.  There are sections of the virtual pinball game for getting a mission from the computer, getting in a whirlpool, finding a sunken boat and a few others.

Tapping the right or left sides of the screen operates the corresponding flipper.  It’s possible to pause the game by tapping the informational bar that appears at the top of the screen.  Sadly, I can’t seem to find a options menu for the application.  That’s a shame.  It would be nice to be able to turn off the sound and/or background music short of taking out the earphones from the device.

(Update: I have learned from the developer that it is possible to turn off sound and music and pipe in iPod audio.  I just haven’t figured out how to yet.)

It is also possible to prepare your scores with the global high results.  You don’t win anything by being number 1, but you do get bragging rights.

The game is simply a pinball game, but a very good one.  Gameprom should do a space-themed one next.
