Here is the review in a nutshell- I love this app. It is a brilliant concept, a simple execution and a potentially huge time and frusteration-saver.
Dial Zero does one thing and one thing only- it tells you how to get to a real, live breathing human being (although if you have talked to some Customer Service Reps one has to wonder about this last part) without running through the maze of "Press 1", "Press 2", "Press…" (sudden dial tone as you are disconnected).
Dial Zero is basically just a database of shortcuts for many of the most common, and frusterating, companies. It covers everything from AARP to Neiman Marcus. Here is an example of cutting right to a live person with the company I like dealing with least…
The developer has a sense of humor and included an assortment of recent reviews right on the screen with the shortcut.
Quick Take
Value: High: Free but I would buy it
Would I Buy Again: Yes
Learning Curve: Zero
Who is it for: Anyone who has ever tried to reach a live customer service rep
What I like: Great idea and execution
What I Don’t: It doesn’t let me send a destructo-beam through the phone
Final Statement: Everyone should have this app on their iPhone. It is free and is a huge potential time, and frusteration, saver.
