One of the lesser known pleasures of the iPhone or iPod touch is the ability to draw doodles on the screen. I liked the concept so much that I splurged the buck on Doodle Buddy Premium, which is similar to the free version but has more stamps and backgrounds and no ads.
Doodle Buddy also lets you draw with friends. You can share a screen while both of you draw simultaneously. You can control color and brushstroke. You can choose a particular stamp with which to pop a particular icon on the screen instead of a line. There is a convenient icon at the bottom for undoing events in your drawing history. All art that is created can be either saved to Facebook or to the Photo Library.
It’s sort of like a mini version of Photoshop or Illustrator, but far more intuitive and fun. I’m actually hoping to use this program in conjunction with another app that makes comic strips and produce a strip made exclusively on my device.
Another bonus that the app comes with is that you can get additional stamps and icons when you buy other apps for your device. Since I bought Family Guy Uncensored, I was awarded the ‘points’ required to unlock the extra stamps and icons.
In short, this app has a lot of functionality and represents a lot of entertainment. Personally, I find the extras (and lack of ads) that come with the premium version worth the extra buck over the free version.

Who Is It For:Artists who can't afford actual art supplies.

WHAT IF I SUCK AT DRAWING?
Anyone can draw with Doodle Buddy--from a hip Grandma to a snotty two year-old kid. If you mess up, you can always undo your last stroke. To start over, simply shake your device.

You can connect to draw with anyone that has Doodle Buddy or Doodle Buddy Premium Edition 1.2 on iPhone or iPod touch.
