This one is for the professionals, but before you carry on reading, although Egnyte is listed as a free app, the app can only be accessed by users who subscribe to Egnyte’s cloud computing services which cost a monthly fee. Of course, a trial can be ordered but that expires after a while.
As mentioned, Egnyte is the iOS extension of the cloud storage services offered by the company of the same name. As the storage space and sever capabilities are tied to the different tier plans users can subscribe to, this review will only focus on the core aspects of the app itself.
To start off, Egnyte is a professionally done app. It has a no-nonsense, basic navigation kind of layout. Do not expect fancy background images or elaborate animations to spring out and amuse you. Egnyte simply gets the job done, and gets it done well. With dozens of file extensions and folder names, it is a good thing that Egnyte decided to leave out the fancy stuff too.
There’s not much convincing needed to be done for Egnyte. Whether or not one downloads the app depends purely on whether one is subscribed to Egnyte’s services. However, if you are looking for a cloud storage company, then you might want to consider giving Egnyte a shot.
