This is no Tony Hawk skater game. However, Extreme Skater impresses with the seemingly impossible tricks and flips, as well as the gorgeous style of animation as seen with most Miniclip games. Extreme Skater is one of those games you can spend hours on trying to unlock new rides or beat old high scores without getting bored of it.

The plot in Extreme Skater is pretty much negligible. It basically tasks our skater boy with collection crystalline shards scattered towards the various stages.

Friendly towards players of all skill levels, Extreme Skater starts off slow and easy while helping the player build up momentum. As the game progresses, the levels get progressively harder and harder, enough to pose much of a challenge even for experienced players.

Extreme Skater adds an element of fantasy to an already very exciting sport. This includes grabbing onto zip lines mid-jump, and special moves such as the erecting of barriers. Collectibles and achievements add to the novelty factor of the game, and give an added reason to continue playing.

Extreme Skater is not a game you would want to play on a crowded bus. Using the accelerometer as its control system, things can get a little messy as you flail your hands around trying to balance your board. Nevertheless, this adds to the element of fun in the game as it makes the game a lot more challenging and interesting.

For $0.99, I strongly recommend the purchase of Extreme Skater. Interesting and entertaining, this game will provide many an hour of fun and is definitely worth that one dollar.
