My wife has my old Blackjack and loves to sit and play bubble breaker.  While I was reviewing this game, I let her check it out.  She has not put it down.  She loves puzzle games like this.  The game is pretty simple.  There is a board of gems.  You highlight one gem and make it switch places with another next to it.  The goal is to line up three or more gems to get them to disappear and the row to drop.  The angle of the game provides a new twist to this well known game genre.  As you play, there is a timer that slowly counts down.  Each group of gems you eliminate, a small amount of time is added.  Basically, you play until the time runs out.  I never found a change in levels.

The game is very well made.  It looks nice and has nice sounds.  The gameplay is enjoyable and can assist or cause you to pass time very easily.  The iTunes page states that the game is free for a limited time.  I say jump on this one.  It is worth $.99, but you can have it free.  Here is a tip.  Learn to look at all angles not just straight lines to eliminate.  As long as three or more sides are touching, the gems will disappear.  Also, you will learn to see the next move once the gems drop.  You can set off a chain reaction which helps your score as well as your time.  In the options there is a color blind mode.  This adds a symbol to each colored gem for easier recognition.  This did help my speed in finding my next move.  Another great part of the gameplay is the fact that you can rotate the phone and change the way the gems fall.  The gems fall with gravity.  Once you become better at seeing possible chain reactions, you can flip your phone that direction and set it off.  Great addition to the game!

Now, this is a great little game, but could really be made even better.  I would like to see some power ups and levels.  They could add a color each level, or provide a wild card gem etc…  I would also like to see bonuses for setting off chain reacitons.  Basically, use what is a great beginning to a game and pizazz it up a little.  All in all, the game is entertaining and will stay on my iPhone.
