Do you like to play card games?  Are you tired of the same old games – solitaire, fish, war and poker?  If so, you’re ready for an App called Free Speed by nBit Inc.  Free Speed is an exciting card game where quick thinking and quick moving actions are necessary in order to beat your opponent.

All you have to do is download Free Speed and you’re ready to go.  The game is quite simple – the goal of Free Speed is to get rid of all of your cards faster than your opponent.  You do this by placing your cards on the cards in the center of the screen but they have to be one rank above or below, (i.e., if you see a 5, you can put on a 4 or a 6.)

When you first get into Free Speed, you get to choose 3 options.  The first options allows you to turn Jokers ON which makes Jokers wild and allows them to be any card you want.  The second option is doubles.  When turned ON, this option allows you to match a card of the same rank.  In other words, if a 5 is in the center, you can put a 5, a 4 or a 6 on it.  The third option is the level of complexity – you can choose from 1 through 6.

Once you set your options, touch Start game.  You will be presented with a board that has your opponent’s piles (face down) at the top of the screen.  Your 5 face-up playing piles and 1 face-down “filler” pile will be at the bottom.  The face-down piles are the cards you use to replace the cards you placed in the center.  In the center there are two piles of face-down cards.

To start the game, touch one of the face-down piles in the center and two cards will be turned over.  You have to move your cards as quickly as possible onto the two cards before your opponent does.  To move your card, tap the card you want to move, and then tap the card in the center where you want to place yours.  You can fill your empty spaces by tapping your pile of face-down cards.  When both opponents have no moves left, tap one of the face-down piles in the center, and two new cards will be presented.   The first person to get rid of all his cards is the winner.  You Win will posted across the screen in big grew letters if you win.   If you lose, you’ll sadly see, Computer wins!

Free Speed is available in the App Store for FREE, of course.  There is also a version called Speed Ultimate Edition which is 99 cents.  It gives you faster levels and allows you to play against other players using your WIFI connection (instead of against the computer).  Try out the FREE version, and I’m sure you’ll want to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition, like I did, once you get good at it!
