My favorite gift at this season (and at any time actually) are gift cards. Give me a gift card to Barnes and Noble, Apple, The Gap, Amazon, or iTunes and I’m a happy happy boy. It always fits, is always the right color and it never goes out of style.
That’s why I was so excited to see the GiftCards app in the App Store. It makes it super easy to search for cards. It then makes it just as easy to send the card to a recipient. It seriously was this easy-
Find the card you want. Tap "Buy Now". Input the number of cards and the amount you want to send. Select the recipient from your contacts or put the information in manually. Add a message. Then the most difficult part of the process— tap "Continue to Billing".
That’s it! Its quick, easy and template-driven. And since the app costs nothing, you can simply download it and have it there for when the need arises. I only wish the selection of stores includes more of my favorites.
