User Rating:Darts has been around for a long time and there are a few different versions wandering around the App Store (and some are free). The app is pretty easy to learn. You tilt the device in the direction you want to move the dart and flick it forward with your wrist while keeping your thumb on the screen to throw. The game uses the traditional points system that you would use if you actually play real darts
It’s possible to play single player, two player or mutliple players over a network, and you can play either four, eight or twelve rounds. There is no way to pause a game, but if you want to stop, tap the bottom of the screen below the dart board and a button will pop up asking you if you want to quit the game.
The game play feels a little awkward. The entire part where you tilt the device to line up the dart doesn’t feel natural, and I’m a little nervous about flicking my iPhone out of my hands. Also, the dart starts on the left side of the screen. Why not the center?
While this game isn’t bad (on the whole, it’s average), other dart games exist in the App Store that are either cheaper, better or both cheaper and better. There are likely more useful apps to spend the $1.99 on.
