How should I describe the new game Hublibubli? I could tell you all about the story and how moles are trying to take over the fairytale castle with bubbles, but unless you are on drugs you wouldn’t understand. At its core, Hublibubli is a reaction game where you must tap bubbles that contain numbers in a particular order to chain together combos and score points.

You make chains by tapping bubbles of the same number or numbers immediately below or above the last number. For example if you tapped a 3 bubble you could then tap 4,3,2, and then 1 and so on to create chains. Higher points are awarded to longer chains.

This may sound easy, but it is made more challenging because you can’t let any bubble leave the screen, even if it isn’t in your chain. This means you have to decide which bubbles will be able to be part of your chain quickly so you can also clean up the other bubbles. This can become quite hectic in later stages. For the children, there is a mode that does not punish you for letting bubbles go. Your scores are posted to Game Center. There isn’t much more to this game, and while the gameplay is solid and provides a fast paced thinking game, the lack of content makes for a game that burns out quickly.
