Hyperlight is a game in which the light is, well, hyper. That is to say the game is exciting, full of action, and never for a second dull.
To play, you tilt your device to avoid enemies. To destroy these enemies, you can tilt your device even more and travel “faster than light,” destroying all who cross your path. Be aware that you can only travel FTL for a limited time frame, after which you will have to collect power-ups to fill your FTL Bar.
The first game mode is the Infinity mode. Here, you play an exciting game of survival. You’ll have to be careful with your FTL Bar as it depletes quickly. And be careful of the enemies. They’ll overrun your screen if you’re not careful. But a simple tilt, you’re moving faster than light, destroying, reclaiming your space with the exciting pop, pop, pop of your enemies.
The second game mode is very similar. In the Arcade game mode, however, you don’t have to start back at level one each time. If you can pass level 10, for example, you can start at level 11 at any later time. Or if you can pass level 20, you can start at level 21 the next time. But the game is very challenging and you won’t become a master before becoming frustrated more than once, wishing that you could stop playing, but knowing that you really don’t want to.
The game has great controls. On top of that, the music, visual effects, and challenges make it, quite literally, an out of this world game. You’ll love it, then hate it, then play it some more and again love it. Hyperlight is one of those games that gives you 99 hours of entertainment for 99¢. Who knew that the empty vacuum of space could be so much fun?

What I Like:A good challenge is offered, yet the game is not I-do-not want-to-play-this-impossible-game hard.
What I Don't Like:A sensitivity calibrator would be nice.

Hyperlight is an innovative action game focused on the use of the accelerometer, where you control a spaceship that increases its speed according to the inclination of the device, up to go faster than light thus becoming a lethal weapon capable to break down any enemy!

You may have already played many action games that promise a fast-paced and fluid gameplay, but certainly nothing like what is proposed in Hyperlight! Turn on your F.T.L. (faster-than-light) engine, and splinter into infinity and beyond by making scorched earth around you!

For the first time in a game like this, enemies will fear you, because in Hyperlight your own spaceship can be turned into the most dangerous weapon, the ultimate weapon that can destroys the endless horde of evil cosmic beings otherwise destined to devour the universe.

You can increase your destructive power taking advantage of various bonuses and deadly weapons scattered throughout the levels, but always ensure you have a good supply of FTL if you do not want to become an easy prey! Also try to perform ever more complex and satisfying attack combinations to cause massive destruction of enemies, if you aspire to reach galactic scores!

Arcade Mode is long and challenging, with a strategic verve, and includes very intriguing boss battles. Infinity Mode is much more immediate, just to keep you instantly satisfied.
