User Rating:I Dig It (Lite) is one of the plethora of games available in the App Store. There will never be a shortage of game applications on iTunes. The main character, Famer Lewis, is apparently a scientific genius that can adapt a tractor into a futuristic drilling machine to dig for precious stuff under the ground (which could be plants or minerals or weird coin-looking thingies). I didn’t bother to ask the creator how the farmer is able to afford the raw materials to construct such equipment (I assume it’s from government subsidies). Or even if hes such a genius then why is he only a farmer?
I Dig It does have excellent graphics and is a good, simple game. If I were into games, this would be a good one. It’s not even violent, unless you consider drilling to be violent.
You can even see the ground around you as you dig, that is until you get deeper into the earth where there is less light. Also, if you overheat the engine it explodes. Okay, maybe it’s slightly violent.
The game does come with a tutorial to learn how to play. You can also adjust the size of the "controller" in the bottom right and switch the side it appears on if you are left-handed.
The full version is available on iTunes for $.99 and includes more levels and different sorts of drilling games. Considering the hours of entertainment this game can give, you could spend a dollar on worse things.
Pros: Good graphics. Good game.
Cons: Somewhat simplistic game, but that could also be seen as a positive.
