Bacon. Greasy. Fatty. Delicious. MMmmmmm….bacon. I can never get too much of it. And let us all praise Apple for creating an amazing technology, and iBacon for realizing the true potential of this technology.
I say this all in jest, of course…but iBacon is just silly– a novelty like those fart machines, or even iBeer. (Not to discredit any of the apps–I’m sure that iBeer (and possibly a fart machine or 2) took much more time to program that iBacon.)
The app is basically a series of video clips (and sound effects) of bacon cooking. You can use your fingers to position tongs over a piece of bacon, pinch your fingers and the bacon is flipped.
The video clips don’t fully line up–the shape of bacon is different when the bacon flips, and the bacon that’s shown when draiing the fat is different from the bacon cooking, etc. It’s like playing a Ed Wood movie! ("Bacon 9 from Outer Space?"). But who cares about all of the little imperfections!
Even though I would normally hate this sort of app, iBacon doesn’t take itself too seriously, and I can appreciate the quick laugh or reaction I’ll get when I show it to a friend or two.

Final Statement: iBacon is a funny app. But once I show it to everybody I know, I’ll probably remove it from my phone and forget all about it.
