After the huge success of Icon Pop Quiz, not surprisingly, a large number of similar apps rushed into the AppStore. Icomania is one of them, from the makers of 4 Pics 1 Word, yet another trend setting game. Though the overall gameplay of Icomania is similar to pop quiz, developers have included small variations to keep things unique.
Icomania is a guessing game where you’re given a small icon of a person, object, letter, symbol or a part of these and you’ve to guess the word, which it portrays. Don’t worry, the image will have a unique feature or a typical character by which you can easily crack it.
Unlike Icon Pop Quiz where icons are sorted into different categories, icomania has all of them jumbled together. But each icon will be accompanied by a clue, indicating its genre, whether Famous Personality, Character, TV and Movies, Brands etc. Crack them well for sometime and you’ll jump to the next, more difficult level and so on.
Got stuck? Don’t worry, you have a handful of options to get help. Share the icon on Facebook or Twitter and ask your friends for help. Else avail the ‘remove letters’ or ‘show a letter’ hints from the right and make things simpler.
Climbing levels will award you hints or else, you can swipe your credit card, I guess. Though not as cool as some other games, the interface is simple and straightforward. Overall, Icomania provides a quality gameplay for free and is surely recommended for anyone who is done with pop quiz.
