The creators of Mart Bingo prove once again that a sense of humor can make up for a lack of 3D graphics (but is probably cheaper to make).  I won’t ruin the punchline of the joke, but given to the right person this app could potentially last years.

The app is pretty simple.  Using the "finger-flick" motion, you uncrumble the card and read the message inside.  That’s it.  Supposedly, there is an Easter Egg as well, but damned if I can find it.

While I appreciate the creators’ efforts on this one, I have to say that it was a bit of a disappointment compared to Mart Bingo.  I recognize that sequels are rarely as good as the original but I had high hopes.  Perhaps their next application can be the one involving the shape-shifting alien currently taking the form of an iPod Touch and having sex with your fingers which you know you’re enjoying because you’re smiling at that very moment.

If this application were a movie, it would be Weekend at Bernie’s II.  Okay on it’s own, but nowhere near as good as the original.

Left to my own devices, I likely would not have purchased this app even at its current low price of $.99.  I would simply go back and buy a second copy of Mart Bingo in case I lost the first one.

But, perhaps I’m not the best person to ask about this application, since according to its analysis, I’m an idiot.

Pros: Cute idea.  Interesting presentation.

Cons: Not interesting enough to buy.  Some folks might not get the joke.
