With gas prices starting to go through the roof again, what can we do to save some cents a gallon? Well, we can drive around looking for the best gas price (which is not a good idea since we would be using even more gas) or we can get the App iGasUp by OPIS and Wright Express for your iPhone. iGasUp ‘does all the driving’ for you because it will find you the cheapest price.
It works by Installing iGasUp and selecting your preferred grade of fuel – unleaded, mid-grade, premium and diesel. Then, choose if you want to see the closest or cheapest gas stations. Finally, select the mileage search – from one to fifteen miles. Save your selections and you’re good to go. The App information is updated daily so you’re going to get the latest price information.
Since iGasUp uses GPS to find your location, it’s extremely accurate and can show you on a map, where all the gas stations are located in relationship to your position. You can also search for gas stations by entering a zip code or by entering a city, so you can get the best gas prices when you’re planning a trip.
I’ve been using the iGasUp App for about a month and it’s doing a great job of saving me money (by showing me the best price). I’ve saved an average of twenty cents a gallon compared to my local station.
