iheartradio is yet another app that brings streaming radio to the iPhone/iPod Touch. Unlike Pandora and Last.fm, however, iheartradio streams traditional/commercial fm stations such as New York’s Z100.
On my iPhone it works like a charm. A few seconds after loading, the app it had buffered enough music and was playing (I was connected to my local WiFi). The app itself is simple, barebones, and as a result, very easy to use. The sound quality was acceptable.
There are two downsides to the app currently, however.
First, the number of stations is exceptionally limited (12).
Second- I tried to install the app on my iPod Touch a few times, and for some reason could not get it to play. However, it worked fine on my iPhone.
If you like commercial radio, this app is a good option for you. Personally, I’ll stick with Pandora or Last.fm.

Value: High, since it is free .
Would I Buy Again: No but only because I don’t listen to commercialradio
Learning Curve: Zero
Who is it for: People who like traditional FM radio
What I like: Simple interface. Easy to use. Free
What I Don’t: Limited stations. Does not work on my Touch. Commercial radio stinks.
Final Statement: Use it if your favorite station is one of the 12 available. Otherwise… pass.
