IM+ has become an increasingly important means of communication for me. I use it to communicate with my friends here on woip, with my friends on Gear Diary and with my work colleagues. In fact, since i am rarely able to get the phone the first time while working, it is now rare that my wife calls me. A text always goes through and is much easier a way to respond. As a result, it is increasingly important to me to have the best IM client possible. At this moment that means IM+.
I am surprised it has knocked BeeJive IM off my first page but it has and is the clear winner for me. There are many reasons for this.
First off, it incorporates all the major IM systems including, most recently, Facebook. More important is he fact that setup for each is a breeze. After inputting your user name and password you are done. Fini. Nigmar.
Second, it is fast enough when first loading but superfast once running. There is no noticeable lag when moving from one screen to the other. And it has a full range of tweaks that can be made to make it run "just right".
Third, like Beejive it offers a nice system to make off-line notification possible. Once set up IM+ will email you when new messages come in but you are off line. What’s more, you can control how long this offline system is active (10 minutes all the way to 3 day) and can set a unique message to autorespond to the other party. A function i had not noticed but Wayne over on Gear Diary did is the ability to reply via email to a message that arrives to email via the offline notification system.
In addition, IM+ has a super clear and simple interface that makes it easy to access all it’s functionality.
And functionality??? With IM+ you can just as easily send a voice text, image or gps coordinates as you can a message which, like all the other major players, can be done with either landscape or portrait.
Oh and there are neat smiley faces too!

Value: High. It is a $10 app and worth every penny
