Have you ever wondered what sort of song a building would sing? Maybe you imagine a body of water as the sound of a flute? With the PhotoSynthesis app you can convert all of the images from your iPhone into musical instruments, and all that is necessary is to point the camera and begin making music.

The PhotoSynthesis app uses a built-in synthesizer and various settings to convert images coming from the camera into truly unique music. The user must first select the sound wave form that they would like associated with the images to be seen, and this includes Sine, Square and Saw. They must then decide which scales to use for their music, with over fifteen major and minor scales available through the app.

After that they simply engage the camera and move it about to create a different tune. They can also just shine a flashlight or even an LED light across the camera’s sensor to create music, after all photosynthesis is a process directly connected to the presence of bright light!

There are many musical apps, but the PhotoSynthesis app is among the most unique and innovative simply because it moves away from traditional instrumentation and uses light and imagery to make music.

The cost for the app is $0.99, and all updates will be made available at no additional cost. This app functions only with the iPhone devices.

If you are interested in music, or just looking for a new way to view the world around you, this is definitely an app to add to your device today.
