How often have you wanted to take a single image out of a movie that you have in your collection? With the Videopix app it is now very easy to grab a single picture and to then add it to the photo roll or even email it to your computer. The Videopix app will accept any video loaded on to a device’s video roll.

It will then allow the app user to perform an extreme slow motion examination of the video clip and even advance the entire movie just one frame at a time if desired. The desired frame is then captured by the app and converted into a high-resolution original photograph.

Whether a video is recording a high-speed sporting event, a family pet frolicking on the yard, or a holiday-time family gathering, the resulting photographic image will look as if it were taken by a traditional camera. The image can then be saved to the mobile device camera roll as a photograph, or sent out using the in-app email feature which can allow the user to send it to family or to themselves for printing.

Photographic apps are extremely popular, and while there are some that can convert movies or alter them such as Slowmo and ReelMoments, this app is geared at high-quality captures of single images.

The cost for the Videopix app is $2.99, and it works in English, French, German, Japanese and Italian languages. This app functions with iPod Touch and iPhone devices.

When you want to get the most out of your home movies and unique videos, this is the ideal app to acquire.
