If you have the EyeTV software on your Mac computer, then you are capable of watching live and recorded TV through your iPhone or iPod Touch device thanks to the EyeTV app. This delivers all of the features of the computer based program into the convenience of a mobile device.

Users can schedule recordings on their home equipment, watch programs live or recorded, and even make recordings while on the road. The EyeTV app does require the individual to run the program on a Mac computer connected to their home network. They can view and edit all of their recording schedules, immediately begin a new recording operation on their home-based computer or simply schedule activity for a later time, browse the program guide of available channels, watch any previously completed EyeTV programs, and watch live TV through their device (WiFi is required for this).

There are many streaming apps that allow the individual to schedule recordings on home-based equipment, but the EyeTV app is truly unique in that it allows the connection between the home device and the mobile device to format programming for mobile viewing.
