If you have Apple Mac or Apple TV and you want a user-friendly remote control, Rowmote can give you a little push in the right direction. Rowmote turns your mobile phone into a wireless keyboard with a trackpad and gives you control of your Mac. Even if your Apple Mac came with a remote, you may not be happy with its functionality. Then again, it may not have come with one.

Rowmote provides you with an easy to use system that takes control of your iTunes, FrontRow, DVD Player, Quicktime, Keynote, plus many other functions. It is able to do this over your wireless network, so there is no line of sight requirement. You also get bonus programs by accessing the “apps” button. You can do such things as toggle, switch between controlled programs, and will even wake up your Mac when it’s sleeping.

Furthermore, Rowmote Pro completely replaces the remote control functionality of Air Mouse. As for other applications that are similar to RowMote, you have the Keynote Remote and Remote. However, Rowmote is the only app designed to control a variety of applications and provides a much more streamlined experience.
