iTunnel is an fast pased game where you are a marble running down a tunnel. As you navigate the tunnel, there are all sorts of obstacles in the way. By tilting your phone up, down, left, and right, you move your marble around and out of the way of the obstacles.
It sounds very simple and straight forward, but I found this game to be impossible to play.There is a lot to like about the game though–the graphics look good, the physics are nice, the obstacles are varied and the sound track is pretty good.
But I found the games controls to be too difficult–and too sensitive. One of my biggest frustrations with the game is that when you hit something, you spin and bounce back towards what you hit. Of course, at the same time, what you hit is often spinning–with a tiny little opening for you to somehow orient yourself in the game and then get through the hole. One time it was so bad, I crashed 30 times in one game before i could get lucky and gain control again.
I think it’d be nicer if after bouncing a certain number of times on the same object, it just breaks away…or if you slowed down after you hit it. Both these solutions would still "punish" you for hitting the object and slow you down, but that change would make the game feel much less frustrating. It could also be that I’m “getting old”—and digital devices aren’t exactly my forte. (Give me back my Atari 2600 joystick!)

Value: Medium–it’s free though, so that’s a plus
Would I Buy Again: Nah…but I might think about it
Learning Curve: Not much learning curve…but difficult to control
Who Is It For: People that like quick paced, 3D,first "person" games
What I Don’t: I had a lot of difficulty controlling the game–better controls or some "training" screen would help a great deal
Final Statement: iTunnel 3D is a good game to play, but the game controls make the game frustrating at times.
Tilt your device to slide along the tunnels!
Try to avoid collisions with moving obstacles and be the first on the global leaderboard!
Slow down if you want but don't forget: You fight against the TIME!
