This app is quite pointless to begin with, but does provide some cheesy moments of romance for couples. With JustUs, inseparable couples missing their other every second can easily declare their love for each other for the app sends an alert to the other party whenever one launches the app, supposedly signifying how much the other is missed.
The instructions to using JustUs are relatively foolproof. Both users upload portrait aligned photos of themselves onto the system, then literally bump their devices together to exchange information. Henceforth, when one party launches the app to view his or her significant other’s photo, an alert will be sent to the partner’s device. Sounds creepy? I think it’s rather cute.
I believe the sole purpose of JustUs is just to constantly alert your partner to the times where he or she is missed. Other than that, I can hardly deduce any useful scenarios JustUs may appear handy in. Moreover, I doubt users will specifically launch JustUs to view that one photo of their partner with full knowledge of alerts being sent, when they probably already have access to an album full of photos. Also, if the aim of using JustUs is just to let one’s partner know that he or she is missed, would a direct text or call not do a better job?
However, for a free app I would say that JustUs is still worth the download. The concept novelty does entertain for the first day, and there really is no harm in giving it a shot but it will die down rather quickly.
