You could create an iPhone game with tremendous 3-D graphics and stereo sound if you have the time and resources.  But if you can’t, you could always do what the creator of Mart Bingo did and create a great concept with a touch of humor.

It’s a Bingo game, of course.  The App Store has several of them.  However, this is a Bingo game with a difference.  It is played while in the aisles of a supermarket or shopping mall.  The idea is to tap the squares describing the people or situations around you until you get five in a row either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

You can reset the board to change the descriptions in each square.  The descriptions are based on ideas submitted via the "wohoo I Rock" website (web home of the creator of Mart Bingo).

This game is brilliant in its simplicity.  There has been many a time when I have been stuck shopping with my better half and had absolutely nothing to do than possibly suffocate myself in the women’s dresses.  The Mart Bingo game is levity for those times.

I encourage you to spend the $.99 to get this game.  Sure, people will stare at you funny wondering what’s so interesting on your iPhone or iPod Touch, but to you they’re just another square to tap in order to reach your goal.  Just try not to shout "Bingo!" when you win the game while in a public place.  People will look at you funny.

Pros: Simple and funny.  And you could write for it yourself.

Cons: None that I see.
