I’m a big fan of miniature golf and one of the advantages of making a virtual game is that you can somewhat sidestep the laws of physics to get a game than is, in effect, better than life.  In Mini Golf Wacky Worlds, you have entire planets on which to play.

There are three types of mini golf games available in this app.  The first is Tee Off in which you have to get the ball in the hole within a certain number of strokes (also known as "under par").  There is Timed Golf in which the strokes aren’t counted, but you have to get the ball in the hole within a certain timeframe, and there is Gopher Golf, which is like Tee Off but also has gophers on the golf course that may mess with your game.  Sadly, you cannot shoot them.

The graphics are terrific and the motion is quite smooth.  No physics problems here.  There is a nice pan of the entire course before you start playing any particular hole.  You can change the POV of the game and do a pan of the hole at any time while playing.

I like this game, but have one complaint.  There are four different worlds available on which to play, but I don’t like the fact that you have to play them in a particular order.  The app would be improved if the user could choose the world on which to play mini golf right off the bat.

Overall, this is a good game and well worth the $.99 investment.  Better hurry before the price goes back up to $2.99.

Pros:  Good graphics.  Good physics.  Good game.

Cons: Would be nice if user could choose a particular world rather than going in order.
