Are you overly emotional to the point where you actually have to track your violent mood swings?  Yeah, there’s an app for that.

Seriously, I don’t get the need for an emotions journal unless you are trying to figure out if the meds are taking effect.  If every day is the "best day ever", then they’re working.

This app should be categorized more entertainment than lifestyle.  If it were more serious, one of the happy options wouldn’t be "Chillin’" and one of the sad options wouldn’t be "Why Me?".  There’s also a typo in the settings page and that’s never a good sign.

The app starts off simply enough.  From the current date and time, you record your emotional state.  You can do it as many times during the day as you wish.  You can then view either a journal of your past emotions or a line chart of your emotional state over time.  If the line is constantly going up and down, you know to schedule an appointment with the doctor.

Via the settings, you can put password protection on the app.  Supposedly, you can "reset" the phrases used for each emotional state but I couldn’t get how to change them to something else so I’ll leave it to the individual users to figure that out.

In short, the app needs work.  The Interface seems as blasé as one’s emotional state after a Prozac binge.  The user should be able to input emotions for past dates.  The app should be spellchecked.  Also, the chart has a zoom feature and I’m not sure why.

So, if you’re bipolar, this could be the app for you.  I personally cannot recommend spending $1.99 on this one.

Pros: Cute idea.

Cons: Interface needs work.  Should be able to input past data.  Can’t customize phrases.
