Rich 3d graphics.  Sound.  Vibrant Colors.  These are all things that are not found in Net & Ball.  Net & Ball makes 8bit graphics look high tech.  But is that a bad thing?

Placing two fingers on your iPhone screen draws a line between them—this is your net.  The goal is to see how many times you can bounce a ball on the “net” before it goes off screen (on the left, right, or bottom).  It sounds easier than it is, at least for us ‘coordination-challenged’ people.

Using the multi-touch capabilities is very nice; I haven’t seen many apps use this iPhone feature.  And really, the game play is as good as many other “popular” apps; in particular I’m thinking Crack the Code, 8 bit Games Flying, and Rope’n’Fly.  But like all those games, the replay value isn’t there.  And like all those games, the replay value is very low.

Quick Take

Value: None

Would I Buy Again:  No

Learning Curve: Very little–it’s clever how they utilized multi-touch.

Who Is It For: People that want to see a demo on how multi-touch can be utilized

What I Like:  Using 2 fingers is a novel way to interact with the app

What I Don’t:  The game isn’t fun, there is nothing "interesting" about the game play.

Final Statement: This game really isn’t worth it–because everything is so simple, and not interactive, it just isn’t worth the time to download it.

Read the Developer's Notes:
